Star Portal (Rhombic Dodecahedron)
The Star Portal design by Gregg Fleishman is a rhombic dodecahedron shape, made with no metal or fasteners, held up by feet and contains an inner floor for meditation.
Gregg has dedicated nearly three decades to studying the rhombic dodecahedron. This polyhedron, closely linked to the cube, comprises a central cube and extensions into adjacent cubes, forming two cubes by volume. The extensions are pyramidal with faces inclined at 45 degrees, resulting in coplanar diamond faces.
These diamonds have a width-to-length aspect ratio of one to the square root of two. This ratio not only defines the diamond faces but also the dihedral angles of related cubic polyhedra, also known as "The Lost Triangle of Pythagoras"
