Sky Portal: "Towers for Galaxyer"

This structure was designed by Gregg Fleishman for the Mayan Warrior x StrangerThan fundraiser event in Los Angeles at Grand Park / City Hall.

It utilizes the cube octahedron, also known as the vector equilibrium, as its elemental polyhedric formula. Originally designed as one structure with 3 climbing stories, multiple observation decks, and a final lookout tower...

A Cube Octahedron-Octahedral matrix capable of infinite expansion is here assembled as an elaborate tower with observation balconies. Large square panels and small square panels provide the structural frame and triangular panels fill in the rest and provide stiffness.

The horizontal square panels are the floors and ceilings while the vertical square panels are perforated for passage. Triangular panels are decorative screens or stairs. In a pyramidal assembly these stairs spiral upwardly, making triangular corkscrew like corridors.
